Harry, ilişkilerin özünü çözmüş olan realist karakter, sally ise fazla sorgulamadan yürüttüğü ilişkileriyle pek anlaşılmaz bir karakterdir. Filmde ara ara beliriveren ve tanışmalarını/evliliklerini anlatan yaşlı çiftler de pek sevimliydi.
