This time, however, their plans do not go as intended. Mahmut has heard that Sonay, the beautiful girl of the village, has a father who is very wealthy, and he has set his sights on her accordingly. However, thanks to Osman's carelessness, Sonay figures out what Mahmut is up to and plays a trick on him. She sends Mahmut running around after the gold, and eventually has him arrested.
