When he takes the loose change to the bank with porters, it turns out that most of it is counterfeit. He ends up in prison, where he escapes. After the escape, he meets Kazım, the leader of a group of beggars, who offers him a job. Based on the principle that "the best money is in the best story," Kazım asks him to write stories for the beggars. One of these beggars is his stepdaughter Işıl. Sezai, an educated gentleman with a foreign education, becomes the anti-hero of an unexpected world as a result of the misfortune that began with the broken coins.
