Melike and Mustafa grow up in a small village of Ürgüp, Nevsehir- the central part of Turkey. She dreams of marrying him, until he and his friend Kadir decide to leave their home country to work in Germany. After two years, the young woman has to marry the much older Yasar, although she does not love him. For financial reasons, Melike also emigrates to the "golden West" and starts working in a factory. She meets Mustafa, now working as a photograph artist, again and revives their romance, but one day, Yasar is standing in front of her door.
