He is evasive and awkward with the security guard of the building, despite a possibly similar background. She is warm and self-consciously candid towards their cleaning lady, who might as well be her counterpart from a vastly different life. As a tiny stain on the kitchen counter takes over the man's reality, the woman becomes the invisible author of this nervous breakdown. Is this the sign of the times? Or is it just a fever dream?
