Here, she meets Zeynep, a young girl in the prime of her life, and takes her under her wing. Thus, Elif embarks on a one-man battle against Volkan, the heir to the powerful Baykara family whom Zeynep is being forced to marry, and against this family that has cast a dark shadow over Sarpça. Over time, Elif realizes that someone else is also trying to change the town's unfortunate fate. Her encounter with the mysterious Emir Baykara, who has turned his back on his own family, proves confusing for Elif.
